Study programs

Bachelor

The bachelor level lectures at the department are part of the general Business Administration curriculum. In the lecture “Strategische Unternehmensführung”, “International Management” as well as in the introductory seminar “Proseminar in Management & Entrepreneurship” students are taught the fundamental theories, methods and focal points of management and entrepreneurship research. In the course "Business Model Creation" students are introduced to the foundations of entrepreneurship and new venture creation.

Master

On the master-level, foundations that were laid on the bachelor-level are extended and deepened. Herein, a special focus is put on strengthening students’ ability to evaluate theory critically and to apply the most pertinent models in practice. Through the completion of a seminary assignment and the master’s thesis, students extend their knowledge of academic methods and attain the ability to treat academic questions independently. For more information on the master-level curriculum, please refer to the Courses section.

PhD

PhD students complete their challenging doctoral thesis in a research-oriented and intellectually highly stimulating environment. The necessary methodological abilities are acquired by participating in various courses and research projects, continuously putting learnt theory into practice. To create an academic network and to broaden one’s horizon, participation at international academic conferences and workshops is encouraged. The completion of PhD at the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship enables a person to successfully pursue both an academic or practitioner career.
